About Us

Grace City Church is a dynamic church committed to loving God and loving people. It is growing rapidly, largely because we are committed to building a relational church which loves the word of God, loves worshiping God and loves the Holy Spirit. Most people who come to Grace City Church find it very down to earth and real. Many remark, “We had no idea there was a church like this in Sydney”.

Originally a Baptist Church started in the 1950’s, Bridgeway Community Church (as it was known as in 2002) became part of the Newfrontiers family of Churches in 2003.

In 2005 Peter and Susan Brooks and their family returned from the UK and Peter took on the leadership of the pastoral team. 

There are other Newfrontiers churches in Australia and the Asia Pacific nations, which are all under Peter’s oversight. A team planted a church in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2001, and since then churches have been planted in Wellington and Auckland (New Zealand), Manila (Philippines), Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Nagoya (Japan). In Australia, there are also churches in Brisbane and Perth, with a team also planting a church in Melbourne.
