What is Newday?

Newday is an exciting youth event that takes place once a year where young people from Newfrontiers churches around the Pacific Rim come together for 5 days.

Who is it for?

Newday is primarily aimed at young people between the ages of 12 & 19 but many people from different age groups come to serve and help out in practical ways.

Why should people go?

There are all sorts of reasons why people should go. Firstly you’re going to have a lot of fun, it’s a total riot! Everyone who comes enjoys it. You get to know new people and build really strong friendships, genuine friendships that are going to last for years and really make a difference in your life. But at the end of the day, we want people to come to Newday because we want people to meet with God, the real God, the one who’s revealed himself to us in Jesus Christ. That’s the story for hundreds of people who have come to Newday so far.

What is a typical day at Newday?

We get up in the morning… usually, and hang out with friends in the cabin. Then after breakfast we have morning seminars which are great times of teaching from the bible. We have different people who preach from different churches in the region. After lunch people are free to just relax. There’s all kinds of activities taking place on the campsite or people can just enjoy being with their friends, it’s totally up to you. In the evenings we have a great time of celebration together. We worship God, we hear from the Bible, we pray and we ask the Holy Spirit to come and people really meet with God.

Where & when is Newday?

In 2011 Newday is being held from the 14th to 19th January just North of Sydney, Australia. We will be using the Lutanda Conference Centre which is in Toukley on the Central Coast, North of Sydney. Lutanda has great accommodation and meeting halls as well as exciting adrenaline pumping activities such as Quad biking, Giant Swing and the Leap of Faith! One activity is included in your camp fee and you can put down your preference on the application form. There are also 4 other timeslots for activities when you can relax or choose from the activity options.

Cost

The cost per person is $292.00. This includes transport, food and lodging and 1 activity. Additional activities will cost $10 or $15 per person depending on the activity chosen (see registration form).

There will be a variety of activities throughout the camp which are included in the camp cost and there will also be additional activities which the campers can undertake at an additional cost.
