Leadership team

One of our core values is team leadership, made up of giftings as described in Ephesians 4 (apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers), with each leader's gifts and strengths complimenting the gifts of others. The Grace City Church leadership team consists of Peter Brooks, Steve Brading and Mike Irving.

Peter and Susan Brooks both grew up in Sydney. Peter worked as a social worker in Sydney's West before travelling around the world, ending up in Brighton, England. There they visited the local Newfrontiers church, and stayed for the next 18 years, with Peter becoming the Senior Pastor. With their four children, they returned to Sydney in 2006. Peter is now the Senior Pastor of Grace City Church and regularly preaches here, and in his apostolic role oversees all the Newfrontiers churches in the Pacific region, travelling frequently within Australia, and to New Zealand, the Philippines, Cambodia and Japan. Susan works alongside Peter and her heart is to see women enjoying their uniqueness to God and being released into their giftings to serve Him wholeheartedly.

Steve and Ruth Brading have lived in Australia since 2007, having served on leadership teams in churches in Woking, Hastings and Heathfield in the UK. Steve has also, for many years, travelled widely throughout the UK and internationally, teaching on the prophetic. He is a leader and Bible teacher at Grace City Church. Ruth is a passionate evangelist and also serves in the worship team. Steve and Ruth have three grown-up sons. 

Mike and Lynn Irving have lived in Sydney since 1997, having moved here from Cape Town, South Africa where they had been part of Jubilee Community Church for many years. Mike serves as the Administrator for Grace City Church, and for the Pacific Rim region. Until recently a Vice-President at International Business Systems where he had been based in the UK for 2 years running the publishing division worldwide, he is now working for the church full time. Lynn has a heart to see women grow into all God has for them and enjoys discipling. Mike and Lynn have three children.  

Grace City Church is also faithfully served by a wider team of leaders, who lead connect groups, youth and children's work, the worship team and welcome team.
