Miles and Kate Simmonds write: "Years ago we heard a quote from Mark Zschech at Hillsong Church, Sydney, who said: 'It's not record labels, it's not artists, it's not individuals running around doing their own thing. It's actually the local church. Our mandate is to be a local church. But we want to reach and influence the world.'
We agree wholeheartedly with this statement, and believe God's purpose is to build His church, for His glory and for the benefit of the whole world. Therefore, we are writing songs primarily for Grace City Church, to express our love for God, truth about God, faith about what He is doing, and to help a community of worshippers encounter God and know Him more.
We have also seen that the local church can have a wider influence, as we saw in Pensacola in 1997. If God has a wider purpose for these songs then we welcome that and hope they are useful to you. They are currently in a basic demo format to listen to online, with charts you can download. New material, including seminars, will be continually added.
