Christs Radiant Church

John Hosier’s book “Christ’s Radiant Church” is an easy-to-read and insightful look into the beliefs of the New Frontiers Churches. Designed to give Christians of other denominations, as well as members of New Frontiers Churches, a better understanding of the doctrinal beliefs of New Frontiers, this book fulfils these purposes.   John touches on a variety of topics, starting with the restoration of mankind to God, through Christ. He explains the radicalness of many of the beliefs the church is established on; aspects such as, grace, righteousness and salvation, which we generally take for granted. As each chapter progresses it is broken up into smaller segments. Some of these segments are aimed at the church as a whole while others are directed more at the individual members of the church.   As this book is also meant to help bring back a Biblical perspective of the how the church should be, John touches on quite a few of the fundamental issues that have caused arguments amongst church over the years. He brings his own perspective and arguments to these issues while maintaining humility by not claiming to have all the answers and drawing on other theologians arguments when necessary.   He also approaches some of the more complex issues, such as a marriage and money, later in the book. When discussing women’s roles in the church he consciously doesn’t take the same route of arguments made in the, keeping a Biblical perspective on the issue and not being dismissive of women.   I would highly recommend “Christ’s Radiant Church” to anyone looking to discover the value of Christ’s Church. As John mentioned, there is a desire from many Christians to have the Church restored to the way Christ intended it to be and I think this book would be helpful in doing this. (Author: )
